10 tips to improve your marks by 10%

  1. Treat school like your job: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, you’re either in class or doing homework (with breaks for lunch).
  2. Get enough sleep at night: most people need between 7-9 hours to feel rested. Sleep helps you be a functioning, efficient student.
  3. Preview your readings, and lecture notes (if possible), before lecture.
  4. Read over your notes once a week.
  5. Study with a group 25% of the time.
  6. Compare notes with a classmate.
  7. Start  your assignments when they are given.
  8. Make up exam questions as you study.
  9. Don’t just read and highlight – recite!
  10. Write exams neatly.
