Engineering Bounce Back Mentor Hiring
SASS and the Faculty of Engineering are hiring paid student mentors for the 2021-22 Engineering Bounce Back Mentor program. The program matches first-year engineering students with upper-year Engineering Bounce Back Mentors who provide guidance with academic goal setting, academic coaching, learning support, and referrals to key resources during regularly scheduled meetings. With this support, first-year students have the opportunity to develop attitudes and skills that will improve their learning and academic success at Queen’s.
If you’re a Queen’s engineering undergraduate or graduate student interested in a role working up to five hours a week during winter semester 2022 with some training and other preparatory work in fall 2021, you want to develop your coaching and helping skills, you’re a great and empathetic listener, and you’re keen to work with students who need a little extra support to excel in school, this might be the role for you.
Pay is $14.60/hr, and the position runs from September 2021 to April 2022.
