Congratulations to Aprajita Sarcar, SASS Writing Consultant, on her nomination for the WJ Barnes Teaching Award!
SASS writing consultant Aprajita Sarcar is also a teaching fellow in the Department of History. She teaches a year-long, upper-year seminar course, HIST460 The British in India (1765-1947).
Aprajita conducted a writing workshop for the class with SASS’s Valerie Ashford, and helped students enjoy writing their academic papers (it’s possible!).
Her training as a SASS writing consultant has translated into better teaching skills and learning outcomes for the class. As a result, her students have nominated her for the WJ Barnes Teaching Award.
Managed entirely by students, the WJ Barnes Teaching Award is the highest tribute that the Arts and Science Undergraduate Society can pay to a course instructor.
Congratulations on your nomination, Aprajita!
